2019 Season Countdown

Well, here we are again in the middle of August waiting for the season to start. This year the season starts on September 21st if you are fortunate enough to live in 2B, 5C, and 5D. For the rest of the state the start date is October 5th. The word on the street is there are some mega giants out there this year.

Have you been running any cameras? What have you been seeing? If you have bean fields near where you live I am sure the bucks are hitting them. Within the next two weeks bucks should be hard horned and changing up their patterns just a bit. Lots of talk about a bumper acorn crop this year as well. Find those white oaks that are dropping and you could fill your tag early.

There is still time for you to get into the buck pool this year. A few changes for this year:

1. Cost is $10.00 this year per person. ( Mentor Hunters is still $5.00 )

2. Three Man teams for the team contest. ( $15.00 ) per team

3. I would like to do short video interviews on each buck harvested and share them to the facebook page.

4. Every person registered for the pool before August 31st will be in a special drawing for a secret prize.

Get out there and shoot those bows and get ready. Head out to a 3-d shoot if you want some extra practice. Here is to a safe and successful season.
